C.I. Smith
Christopher Ian Smith - also known as C.I. Smith - is an English writer-director.
As a former member of the audiovisual collective Addictive TV, they were voted No.1 VJs in the world by DJMag. They also produced the long-running music TV series Mixmasters, and performed at events and venues including: Le Centre Pompidou, The ICA, Glastonbury Festival and Mutek.
His films span documentary, experimental and fiction, and have screened at festivals across the globe. His feature documentary, New Town Utopia (narrated by Jim Broadbent) was released in cinemas to widespread acclaim. It received four and five-star reviews from critics, with a 100% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Chris is currently developing the supernatural anthology series Unholy Island, the dystopian horror-thriller Zero Hours, and an adaptation of Graham Joyce's terrifying and disturbing coming-of-age novel, The Tooth Fairy.
He also directed commercial films, digital and immersive work for brands such as the BBC, Guinness, Sony PlayStation and UbiSoft.
