Abhishek Banerjee
Abhishek Banerjee is an Indian actor and has worked in the casting team of many movies. Banerjee did his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Andrews Ganj, Delhi. He graduated from Kirori Mal College, a constituent college of the University of Delhi. There, he enrolled in the Kirori Mal's dramatic society.
In his acting career, Banerjee got his first break in the popular Hindi film Rang De Basanti (2006), where he portrayed the character of a college student who auditioned for a role in a documentary.
Banerjee also started working as a casting assistant in the film, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010) and was a part of the casting team in Knock Out (2010). Noticing his work in Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Milan Luthria offered him the post of in the casting team for The Dirty Picture (2011), starring Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, and Naseeruddin Shah.
Banerjee went on to work as the casting associate for the movie No One Killed Jessica (2011) in which he also played a small role. He then worked in the casting team in Bajatey Raho (2013), Mickey Virus (2013), Umrika (2015), Gabbar Is Back (2015), Dear Dad (2016), Rock on 2 (2016), OK Jaanu (2017), Toilet: A Love Story (2017), Secret Superstar (2017), Long Live Brij Mohan (2017), Ajji (2017), Phillauri (2017), Arjun Patiala (2019), Bala (2019) and Bhediya (2022).
Banerjee has also worked in the casting team for web series and TV series, including Inside Edge (2017), Mirzapur (2018), Hostel Daze (2019), and Paatal Lok (2020).
While working in the casting team, Banerjee also acted in various movies. He played the role of Daya in Soul of Sand (2010). He also acted in Bombay Talkies (2013), Fuddu Boys (2015), Agli Baar (2015), Ajji (2017), Phillauri (2017), Stree (2018), Dream Girl (2019), and Bala (2019), Arjun Patiala (2019), Ajeeb Daastaans (2021), Rashmi Rocket (2021) and Bhediya (2022).
Banerjee also acted in web series and TV series like TVF Pitchers (2015), Inside Edge (2017), Mirzapur (2018), Typewriter (2019), and Paatal Lok (2020).
